MEGOGO Partner Integration Guide

This guide is for developers of partner companies: telecom operators, TV and internet providers, device makers. It shows how to add MEGOGO videos to your application and how to sell access to them in your own billing.

What you can build

  • A catalog of MEGOGO films and series in your application, on web, mobile devices, Smart TV and set-top boxes.
  • Playback of the videos in your player, with DRM if necessary.
  • Sale of MEGOGO content in your billing: a subscription (SVOD with AdVOD and FVOD videos) and single titles (TVOD rent, DTO purchase).

You sell the access. MEGOGO records the services of your users and gives the streams.

The three interfaces

Interface Base URL Use
Content API https://api.megogo.net/v1 Catalog lists, details of a video, user authorization, streams. Each request is signed
Billing API https://billing.megogo.net/partners/{partner_id} Subscriptions and purchases of your users. Only from the IP addresses of your servers
XML feed https://xml.megogo.net/assets/files/{region}/{partner_number}/all_mgg.xml The full catalog that you can show, one file each day

  1. Your server downloads the XML feed each day and updates your catalog. Or your application gets the lists from the Content API.
  2. The user buys a subscription or a title in your application. Your server records the service in the MEGOGO Billing API.
  3. Your server gets an access token for the user from the Content API.
  4. Your application gets a signed /stream URL from your server and sends the request. MEGOGO gives the stream for the country of the user.

What MEGOGO gives you

A partner ID, a key pair for each platform, a salt, service IDs, test credentials and the URL of your XML feed. See Credentials.

Where to start

  1. Getting started: send your first signed request.
  2. Concepts: read about the content model, the delivery rules, the platforms, DRM and geo restrictions.
  3. How-to guides: build the catalog, sell, authorize and play.
  4. Reference: all requests, fields and errors.

MEGOGO does not have a separate test environment. Use your test partner ID and test keys on the production servers.
