Geo restrictions

The rights of a video are for some countries. MEGOGO finds the country of the user and gives the stream only if the video is available there.

How MEGOGO finds the country

Who sends /stream How MEGOGO finds the country
The application on the device of the user From the IP address of the request (MaxMind database)
Your server MEGOGO sets a fixed region for your key ("overridden geo"). You are responsible for the location of your users

We recommend that the application on the device sends /stream. Your server makes only the signed URL. Then the private key stays on your server, and MEGOGO sees the IP address of the user.

/configuration gives geo: the country that MEGOGO found for the request.

If the video is not available in the country

/stream gives an empty src and the restriction NO_VOD_COUNTRY or NOT_ENABLED_IN_COUNTRY. Tell the user that the video is not available in this country.
