Platforms and rights¶
The rights holders let MEGOGO show each video only on some platforms and in some countries. This page explains how you find these rights.
Keys for each platform¶
MEGOGO gives you a key pair for each platform: web, mobile devices, Smart TV and set-top boxes. The content and the stream settings can be different for each key. Use the key of the platform where the user watches the video. See Credentials.
Platform flags in the XML feed¶
| Flag | 1 means that the rights let you show the object on |
|---|---|
web_allowed |
The web |
ios_allowed |
Mobile devices: all mobile operating systems, not only iOS |
smart_tv_allowed |
Large screens: Smart TV and set-top boxes |
Show an object on a platform only if its flag is 1.
Your feed¶
MEGOGO makes a separate XML feed for each partner. Your feed contains only the objects of your contract. Do not use the region feed without your partner number. See XML feed reference.
Contracts¶
Each object has a contract_id: the rights contract. For some rights
holders, MEGOGO lets you show their DRM objects only under some
contracts. If MEGOGO gives you a list of contract IDs, show only the
objects with these contract_id values.
Restrictions in the stream¶
If the rights do not let the user watch, /stream gives an empty src
and a restrictions code, for example:
CONTRACT,NO_CONTRACT: the video is not in your contract.NO_VOD_COUNTRY,NOT_ENABLED_IN_COUNTRY: the video is not available in the country of the user. See Geo restrictions.
See Play a video.
